The paradigms of House

I read a blog entry called The Importance of Paradigms (Beliefs) today, and it got me thinking.

I’ve been watching a lot of House, M.D. lately, and House’s paradigms are definitely Agile. (Please read the linked article above first; this will make more sense then.)

  • Differential diagnosis.
  • Everybody lies.
  • Monitor the patient. How they respond will tell you if a treatment is working.
  • Have a small, skilled team.
  • Perform tests to check your assumptions.
  • Have the team work on one patient at a time.

It’s probably best to skip the Vicodin, though. ;-)

The name truewill is composed of two other words. What is the SECOND word?
