I’ve spent a fair amount of time and money trying various ergonomic products, and here are the ones that I’ve found useful (your mileage may vary).
The Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer is nice, too, but slightly less ergonomic.
What makes a good mousepad varies by mouse. Experiment until you find one that tracks well.
The best advice I have regarding any ergonomic product is to try it for a few days of serious coding. Take some time to get used to it, but if you still don’t like it, take it back. Do not trust reviews (even mine).
Chairs are a different matter. I’ve got a decent one at work and a fair one at home. Maybe someday…
Development Central is the blog of Bill Sorensen, a professional software developer. Much of this will relate to C#, .NET, and OOP in general.
